It would be unfair to my wildest dreams to say that the Precisely That claim was a homerun, but at the very least we legged out a solid triple. Sort of the Paul Molitor of claims. Consistently hitting the board in a modest market.
A quick glance at the standings will show that our gutsy little filly is sitting 10th in the nation for the year with regards to her winning record. Out of 9 starts this year she has 6 wins, 2 places and 1 show. Specifically for us she has 5 wins in 7 starts. Granted we're not exactly winning the classics but 5 pictures on the wall is 5 pictures on the wall. You know who else's owners have 5 win photos on the wall? Big Brown, that's who. Pretty much the same horse.
Some excitement is on the way in a week or so. After dabbling in claiming company for the last few years we're hitting the stakes circuit on the 31st. Miami, Florida, Calder Race Course, it'll be a regular 7 furlong rumble in the jungle. And I might as well go out in the yard and put my ear to the ground to hear how it goes for all the TV coverage we get here in Hotlanta. If we win I'm buying myself a steak...on me.
